The Bowties, a men’s a cappella group, formed in 1997 in Rochester, NY. The Bowties have quickly become regarded as one of the area’s finest a cappella groups. They delight audiences with a huge variety of music, from doo-wop, jazz, and pop to classical, show tunes, and holiday favorites. Just check out their song list page. Many of the songs are masterfully arranged by group members, creating elegant and rich sounds that are truly memorable. The main objective of the Bowties is to “sing for the joy of it”. Members of the Greater Rochester Choral Consortium, the Bowties regularly sing at community festivals, private parties, retirement homes, and special events at locations around Rochester from Syracuse to Niagara on the Lake in Canada. In addition, they donate a portion of their time each year to sing for various charities and civic events.
