What do Bill Tiberio, Phyl Contestable (RevMo), Alana Cahoon, Nadine Carey, Bill Welch, and Women of Note have in common? They’re all performers in our 4th annual cabaret benefiting Project Empower, a program that helps women live into their full potential. We are inviting you to join us for this year’s Cabaret, Imagine! to help women’s dreams of a new and different life come true.
The Cabaret is well-known for its exceptional and varied entertainment, excellent and abundant food, and lots of fun. Our performers are professional , and just about everything is donated from the entertainment down to the food, decorations, and silent auction items. Our chef this year is New York City-trained.
We have worked with over 300 women now from all walks of life over the past few years. We especially enjoy our work with women from Liberty Manor, the most intensive, restrictive, long-term residential program for women with addiction in the area. We come alongside to support, challenge, listen, teach and strengthen women on their path to recovery and wholeness, and we stay with them in between whatever our community program they are in. Our program has expended to much-needed support after women leave Liberty Manor and for others in the recovery community. Our friends program connects women in recovery with healthy women outside of the recovery community to help reintegrate them into society. We are developing partnerships for expanded services and collaborative work. It’s a great time for us!
Women from Liberty Manor will again perform, led by our dance and exercise director, Alison Jameson. The past performance of Aretha Franklin’s R-E-S-P-E-C-T and We Are Family garnered standing ovations.
Your generous support and participation in this year’s Cabaret will be invested in Changing the World One Woman at a Time, starting right here in Rochester and Monroe County.
Your partner in imagining a better world,
Joy Bergfalk, program director
