Lindsay Steinberg, chef & owner of Green Zebra Cathering Company, is our chef for this year’s Cabaret. Here’s what she says about herself at her website – http://greenzebracatering.com.
It all began at the age of six, when Lindsay prepared her first dinner party for the family. She knew then that she would never stray far from the stove. A graduate of Allendale Columbia, she received her B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College, before moving to New York City to follow her true calling. She graduated from the Institute for Culinary Education in 2004, working for restaurants and caterers in the city until returning to Rochester to focus on developing her own flavor.
Lindsay’s creative concepts and recipes, minimalist style, appreciation for the local agriculture and foods of the Finger Lakes region and outgoing personality have brought people to her for events of all types, large and small. In late 2007, Lindsay established The Green Zebra Catering Company named for the green zebra tomato, an heirloom tomato of great uniqueness in look and flavor, and a favorite of all who take a bite.
