A huge thanks to the 28 donors who helped us raise $46,000 in 10 weeks toward our goal of $70,000! Life Listening Resources now owns the Coffee Connection at 681 South Avenue in Rochester where we have been managing the not-for-profit business since November 1. We have come a long way in a very short time and still have some specific needs for a smooth transition. Our $70,000 goal anticipated needs beyond the purchase of the business, including:

• Improvements to the kitchen and food service area, including a refrigerator ($800)
• Upgrades to our websites and social media marketing, including an online store ($1,000)
• Costs and supplies for expanding our wholesale business ($800)
• Purchase of Pervuian-made sweaters, hats, and jewelry  ($1,000)
• Consulting fees for a professional grantwriter to find increased funding to expand our programs for women in recovery ($1,000)
• Consulting fees for accountant to oversee successful integration of financial records ($1,500)
• Administrative costs ($2,500 – 8% of the total)

We would welcome volunteers with expertise who could do any of this work for us on a pro bono basis, of course. And in-kind donations of supplies and equipment are always welcome.
